Announcement: Star Control Platform Update

We are thrilled to announce an upcoming update to the Star Control platform that will bring exciting enhancements, new E-paper management features, and important bug fixes!

Platform Update Details and Schedule: Date: January 22th, 2025 Time: 10:30 am UTC/GMT +8 hours

Key Features:

1. Added scheduled image push function in Star Spark / E-paper Supports scheduling from Monday to Sunday (7 days); up to 7 images can be set per day.
2. E-paper device management function migration and new additions
   • Migrated the original "Register E-paper device" function from the device list to the Star Spark / E-paper module
   • Added the ability to create E-paper projects directly in Star Spark
   • Enhanced E-paper device management within the Star Spark module
3. Navigation menu optimization
   • Added a new sub-menu "Star Spark" under the Extensions navigation menu
   • Moved the "musea" sub-menu under Extensions to the top position
4. Firmware upload & update improvements
   • Separated firmware upload categories for E-paper and Common devices
   • Added dedicated E-paper firmware update (Update firmware) function
5. Export function enhancement
   • Added License key field when exporting the Export list
6. Bug fixes
   • Fixed: After a device registers on the network and groups are added, the group name was not displayed in the Device group display box
   • Fixed: When viewing screenshots and clicking full-screen mode, the screenshot image failed to display

What to Expect:

• Downtime: The platform will be temporarily offline during the update for approximately one hour (10:30 am to 11:30 am UTC/GMT +8 hours). We appreciate your understanding and patience.

Compatibility:

• Firmware: Existing firmware will remain functional after the platform upgrade. However, to use the new scheduled image push and E-paper firmware update features, a firmware update may be required for E-paper devices. Please contact your local representative to obtain the latest compatible firmware.
• Device Supported: All Glory Star devices running Android OS 12 and above, with full support for the newly added Star Spark / E-paper management features on compatible E-paper hardware.
