STAROS OS

Regarding STAROS OS problem


We can use the system properly since there is no home button or back button to get out of the system. Each time we need to turn off and turn-on the GAD for getting to home screen.
Is there a update in firmware to resolve the problem or do we need to re-flash the android in the GAD
Please help us in finding the solution. 

We would also like to retrieve our license code and the STAROS APP? 

SOLUTION  

You don't need to re-flash the tablet , you can connect A MOUSE to  connect to GAD101A, and then RIGHT Click and it would bring you to the home screen.


To retrieve STAROS 

If the STAROS Version is 10.0.6 and onwards, you can factory reset the device to have STAROS on it, but note that this will erase all data on it. 

How to factory reset? 

OPTION 1 
If you can still operate the tablet, follow the steps below: 
Click 5 to 7 times on the lower right corner 
Press" 0000" on the pop up STAROS menu 
Select" System",  select " System" again, then select " Advanced" where the reset option is. 

OPTION 2 
If you preform a factory reset, all the datas will be erased. The app will need to be reinstalled. 
1. Unplug the power, press and hold the " VOL+" button at the lower back corner, plug in the power 
2. It will go into the recovery mode. 
3. Use the VOL+ ( UP) / ( DOWN) to move the curser up and down. Power button as " confirm/ okay" 
4. Choose the " wipe data/ factory reset" and press " POWER" to confirm 
5. Select " YES" and press " POWER" to confirm 
6. Select " Reboot system now" and press " POWER" to confirm 
7. The tablet should reboot now. 


If it is a version before 10.0.6, you will need to contact support@glorystargroup.com, provide your serial number to receive the correct version of STAROS to your device.
