After months of hard work, Star Control 2.0 Beta release will be available for trial testing starting November 4th 2022 12:00 am US eastern time !

New features in Star Control 2.0 includes:

1. Modify registering device method in using platform generate pin codes or admin login acc name and password. This will prevent user from registering the wrong device just by using serial number.

2. Dashboard view - able to see number of devices status, recent staff activities, registered devices, etc all in one glance.

3. Device Control - able to see which wifi network device is connected and change device settings such as brightness, time zone, etc.

4. Filter devices based on groups, status, model etc 

5. Can set broadcast template can push to all devices at once

6. Action progress bar - notify whether push action from platform to device is successful or not

Please take note the following in order to test the new platform:

1. If you're using current device that is running on the existing Star Control platform (www.thestarcontrol.com) , you would need to deregister the device first to continue. http://3.122.236.163/login would be the new platform link. 
 
2. The device firmware needs to be updated in order to link to the new Star Control platform, note once installed the current Star Control platform will no longer be able to detect the device. Please speak to your representatives or project managers in order to get the firmware for the device model that you wish to test. 

3. Star Control 2.0 Beta runs on a different sever than existing Star Control, therefore device and user registration would need to be redone again. 

4. Device registration method has been changed, to register device please do the following:
      1. go to device control - register device
      2. select register with pin code
      3. choose number of device to support and select generate pin
      4. under staros go to settings - register in star control - type in the generated PIN number 

5. Lockdown modes - you would need to create a broadcast project first in order to push required lockdown modes to the devices. 

6. Note that we are constantly making improvements to the beta platform therefore there will be bug and UI fixes as you are testing the platform.
